Passport holders of Russia, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italia, Belarus may travel freely to Viet Nam within 15 days.
Other nationals who want to enter Vietnam are required to apply for a visa
- If the stay is less than 30 days, single entry, they can apply for EVISA at the Vietnamese Immigration Department in Viet Nam via this link: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/trang-chu-ttdt
- If the stay is more than 30 days, they have to contact their supporting/inviting/sponsor organization in Viet Nam or Tourist company in Viet Nam to acquire a final approval paper from the Vietnamese Immigration Department. Then they can bring the approval paper from the Immigration Department to the Consulate in Geneva to get a stamp visa to their passport. (The approval paper must clearly state that the VISA can be acquired in the Consulate of VN in Geneva).
- VISA on arrival at the airport is possible if the passport holder receive approval paper from the Immigration Department in Viet Nam.
